I leave in a few hours. This should be fun, all the wrong side driving!

Driving there is awesome! (well, outside of the M25 loop, anyway) I love the challenge, it’s like shaving wrong-handed with a straight razor. Even a 100hp econobox is a joy to whip around on those B- and C-roads, and everything seems faster when you have hedgerows beating against your side mirror. Be safe, have fun, I’m totes jelly as the kids say. I think.

That had to have been pricey! I would love to haphazardly book travel to Europe but it seems like the only way to do it affordably is planning 6 months in advance. Unless London is different, because that would be awesome!
Edit: you don’t live/ aren’t flying from the US do you lol

Good luck, have fun, don’t die. It took me longer than two days to get semi used to it, so I don’t know how much you’ll actually get to enjoy it.

I mean, it was as far as budget airlines are concerned. Was like $150 US round trip.

I recently booked a two way flight from Germany to the US (Boston). €600, all in. Could’ve been a lot cheaper if I hadn’t been as picky about the dates.

Yeah, I should know that flying within Europe is ridiculously cheap. I just did a flight from Norway to Rome for $50! I cant even drive to like Washington DC from home in NJ for that cheap (gas and tolls).

Most of my impulse buys end up coming to me. You have to go to your impulse buys.

My first goal of the day when I wake up is to not die. Such a lofty goal and such a reward for succeeding.

It may be setting the bar low in one sense, but it’s a hell of a bar.

Well yeah I paid $500 for round trip NY-Bergen-Rome and Naples-NY. So its definitely possible to do cheap in advance.

Can I ask what airline? Every time I fly from the states back into London its easily $1500 plus!

Ahhh... see, I’m already in Europe.

And of course it’s gonna rain on the weekend. At least you’re getting the full British summer experience.

But my flight from the US to Germany was only like $700, so still pretty reasonable.

I nearly had a heart attack thinking of how cheap that is! That makes way more sense now hahaha I just flew back from a couple days in France for about $150USD. Flights within Europe ftw! Enjoy your time in the UK :D

If you’re flexible you can usually find cheap fares. For instance, if you want to leave for Ireland tonight or tomorrow from Newark/NYC, it’s only $550 r/t and that’s for direct flights on United, coming back early/mid next week.
A nice little long weekend in the olde country. Slainte!

I always think it’s funny that Newark is considered “NYC”. You would have a hell of a time getting between the two although NJ transit from the airport stop to NY Penn isn’t that bad I guess. It might honestly be better than the super long Subway ride from JFK or the LIRR now that I think about it. Anyways, that is super off topic!
